Kevin Lomax, a young lawyer, arrives in New York at the invitation of the head of a large law firm. Before that, he was known for defending only scoundrels and never losing a single case. He is quite happy in his new job, living in a luxurious apartment with his loving wife and surrounded by interesting people.
