Julian Dillinger, head of Dillinger Systems, attracts investors by demonstrating the incredible capabilities of the new technology, without mentioning that in our world, recreated objects can only exist for 29 minutes. Meanwhile, ENCOM CEO Eva Kim discovers the so-called stability code, a program that removes this time limitation. Upon learning of his competitors' success, Julian orders his best soldiers, Ares and Athena, two AI characters extracted from the virtual world, to capture Eva and retrieve the valuable code from her.
