1986. The Smerl family, who live in Pennsylvania, buy an antique mirror for one of their daughters' confirmation. It is the very same mirror that caused Ed and Lorraine Warren to nearly lose their newborn daughter Judy 22 years ago. Now she has grown up and, having inherited her mother's gift of hearing and seeing the otherworldly, tries to ignore the increasingly frequent terrifying visions that come to her. Meanwhile, all sorts of strange things begin to happen in the Smerl family's home.

Archaeologist Karl Schiller concludes that the mythical "Ring of the Nibelung" is in Dracula's castle in the Carpathian Mountains. Karl shares his discovery with his twin brother Franz, a gambler, and tells him about an ancient amulet that will protect him from vampires, if they do exist. Franz decides to get ahead of his brother, steals the amulet from him and sets off on his own to Transylvania to get the golden ring. Franz spends the night in a village tavern near the castle and forgets the amulet. Soon he finds himself in the castle and meets the Countess de Vries, who turns out to be a vampire.

It turns out that cannibals are not only found in fairy tales. In the inaccessible jungles of New Guinea, since ancient times there has been a mysterious sect that accepts the rite of purification and union with nature through human flesh. The heroine of the movie, who went in search of her missing sister, will have to be convinced that this is not a fiction. And this is only the beginning of a terrible story...
