A young psychiatrist, Dr. Martin, arrives at Dunsmore Psychiatric Hospital where he hopes to be employed. The clinic's chief physician, Dr. Star, has been placed with his former patients because of mental illness. His assistant, Dr. Rutherford, in order to test the competence of the new arrival, shows Dr. Martin four patients, among whom is Dr. Star.
