Two seasoned Swedish detectives arrive in a tiny Norwegian town to help the inexperienced local police investigate the murder of a young woman. The “meticulous” killer makes a single misstep, allowing the detectives to set a trap for him. But through a ridiculous turn of events in thick fog, the highly experienced detective Jonas Engström accidentally kills his partner and lets the criminal—who witnessed the fatal accident—escape.
