The wind is blowing around you, and below lies the city and thousands of excited eyes looking up at you. In 1974, French tightrope walker Philippe Petit dared to perform an unimaginable feat—walking without a safety harness across a tightrope stretched between the Twin Towers in New York.
Harry Hamilton, a brave army officer, is wrongfully accused of robbery and thrown in jail. Ten years later, he returns to his hometown to confront the false witness and discovers that, over the years, the man has become a very influential figure.
The early 1950s. Alfred Miller, a talented television screenwriter who has been blacklisted for sympathizing with communist ideas, loses his job.
