Mac is an ordinary child, only from another planet, and he looks quite different from the inhabitants of Earth. Together with his mom and dad, he comes from outer space to the human world, but then he gets lost and finds refuge in the home of a family with two children. In the new frightening world, Mac can only rely on his unusual abilities for earthlings. Mac's best friend becomes a disabled boy, who helps the cute alien adapt to the new conditions and shelters him from his enemies.

On the mean streets of New York City, a dog-eat-dog mentality reigns among the destitute citizens. In one of the many abandoned buildings in the neighborhood of Alphabet City lives the Brazilian Rita La Punta (Marília Pêra), along with her delinquent son, Thiago (Richard Ulacia), and a gang of Hispanic teens charged with selling heroin and cocaine. When Rita and her young gang members get involved in a minor turf war, the violence escalates out of control, touching everyone and sparing no one.

British Isles, 1790. A gang of ruthless robbers pursues Tornado, a Japanese girl, and a local boy thief who stole their gold. When the bandits kill Tornado's father, she takes up a samurai sword and decides to take revenge.
