Klaus Kinski is superb as Jackmel, a German criminal who kidnaps an American boy living in London. He is aided in this by the teen's servants. Through ignorance, the boy accidentally acquires a poisonous snake intended for toxicologist Dr. Marion Stowe and the deadly reptile is on the loose somewhere in the house. The characters are clearly divided into good and bad, and all the villains get what they deserve. There's a quietly dominating menace from Kinski, and Reed is good as an explosive, brutal villain always ready for violence.
