1962. Army veteran Leroy Hanlon moves to the small town of Derry, Maine, with his wife Charlotte and son Will. Leroy arrives at a nearby military base to take part in a secret mission, but his new colleagues give him a cold reception. When children begin dying in the town, a group of schoolchildren, which Will Hanlon has joined, investigates the string of deaths.

The film consists of a mix of documentary footage and reenactments. It realistically explores various aspects of death and contains shocking documentary footage of unnatural deaths and mutilated bodies.

Jennifer's love life isn't going well.
