A series of short sketches revealing various aspects of the life, work and personality of the famous Canadian pianist.

1932. After many years away, twins Smok and Stack return to their hometown in the Mississippi Delta. They fought in the trenches of World War I and then became gangsters in Chicago. The brothers buy a piece of land with farm buildings from a white racist in order to open a music bar for plantation workers. The highlight of the opening is the preacher's son, to whom the twins once gave a guitar, and who plays the blues so well that he attracts the attention of an Irish vampire who happens to be nearby.

A group of friends fresh out of college are trying to adjust to adult life.

Shatter, an international contract killer, has been assigned to assassinate the President of a small African country and collect his fee from a bank in the Far East. Amongst the players are the Mafia and several foreign intelligence services and the stakes being played for are deadly.

Twelve-year-old Antoine Duanel is a troubled teenager. His mother is busy with her personal life, and she has neither time nor desire to get involved in her son's problems. His stepfather is a weak-willed man who has no influence either on his wife or on his son. The teacher only punishes the boy. Antoine and his friend attend school less and less often and run away from home.

Clover and her friends are searching for her missing sister and arrive in a remote area where she recorded her last video message. After driving through a wall of rain, the group finds themselves in a deserted, strange house in the middle of the forest, where they decide to wait out the storm. But after sunset, a terrifying masked man attacks them and kills everyone. The friends immediately come to their senses and realize that they are stuck in a time loop — now they are forced to relive this terrible night over and over again.
