How the Grinch Stole Christmas 4K 2000
A Christmas film for the whole family. Some jokes might go astray, but some interpersonal topics are well presented and who is the monster should quickly become clear.
Oh, you happy! Every year at Christmas time, the anticipation, the cozy atmosphere, and a homely feeling arise, without which Christmas would just be half as nice. Some get this anticipation from December 1st and some may not arise.
The Grinch (Jim Carrey) hates Christmas! One day he makes the decision to end Christmas forever. And how does it work best? By simply stealing everything to do with it. We do not want to reveal whether he is successful with this! Together with his dog Max, the green goblin wants to steal the presents and spoil the festival for the villagers.
Little Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) also questions the fest...
What else is missing apart from a good film? 4K Blu-ray and DTS: X, of course! During our research, we came across the ultimate Grinch collection that tops off the evening technically!
Toy Story 2 4K 1999
Fortunately, it doesn't always work that way. A positive exception is sure Toy Story 2, a computer animation released in 1999 by Ash Brannon and John Lasseter starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack.
Woody's only hope now is that Buzz Lightyear and the other toys will rescue him from the evil toy collector through a breakneck rescue operation. And that's just a build-up followed by a great story with lots of new and funny ideas, that would likely put the prequel in the shade. The animations are also great. This film has an even better impact now through 4K Blu ray and Dolby Atmos.
The Big Lebowski 4K 1998
We are in a film by Joel and Ethan Coen that is now available in 4K Ultra HD & DTS: X. John Goodman plays Walter Sobchak, a choleric Vietnam veteran. The best thing is how perfectly this absurd conglomerate works. And functioning here means being fully aware of the film and genre-historical conventions with the same tricks. With an overwhelming number of references from Chandler to Russ Meyer, Dali and Hitchcock to Mike Tyson and the Coens themselves, all Coen films' own humor creates the most absurd connections and transitions into nothing.
Clearly, one of the best films ever made. A classic. Alongside Donnie Darko and Pulp Fiction. The dude is authentic in his role and lives the serene life of a failure who knows what he wants: with pals bowling, drinking white Russian, smoking in the bath and doing taichi/gymnastics... But then he becomes a confusing criminal – a situation, where his serenity is put to the test.
Men in Black 4K 1997
Police officer James Darrell Edwards III. is astonished when he is dropped on foot by a strange guy during persecution and later looks into his lizard-like pupils. However, he is even more amazed when, a government agent in black, takes him to a nearby jewelry store and reveals to him that aliens have been wandering around the earth since the 1950s. The gold seller is one of them and illegally markets alien weapons. James absorbs new knowledge. Just to have forgotten it shortly afterward. Does this strange lightning thing have anything to do with the fact that ""K"" applied?
Men in Black is a 1997 satire by Barry Sonnenfeld with Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, and Linda Fiorentino. And even if the story itself is thin, Men in Black ends up finding a few more intense moments in Agent K's revelation about his past – not least thanks to a 4k Blu-ray and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 version.
