In every town there is a house about which horrible things are told. Adults talk about it in whispers, and all the neighborhood kids avoid it. Such gloomy houses reek of damp and death. And there is hardly a daredevil, who even on a bet dares to approach the terrible place in the night. But one day, an ordinary 13-year-old boy entered the creepy dwelling.

Edgin Darvis, a bard and adventurer, escapes from prison with his warrior girlfriend Holga and goes to see his daughter, who has been under the tutelage of his former accomplice Forge for the last few years. Upon arrival it turns out that the latter, with the support of a suspicious sorceress Sophina, not only got fabulously rich and became governor, but also turned his daughter against her father, and in general - not against getting rid of Edgin and Holga. Having managed to fight off the executioners, the desperate couple plans a terrible revenge, and for this they will have to unite with the absent-minded wizard Simon, the dexterous druidess Doric and find the magic helmet, which was considered lost.
