The near future. Ben Richards, a hot-tempered man who has been blacklisted by employers, cannot find a job. A small town in West Virginia holds an annual Mountain Man festival dedicated to Halloween. A group of college students heads there, but they have no idea that the noisy costume party with music and alcohol will turn into a bloody nightmare for them—a family of mountain cannibals is on their way to the festival.

After reuniting with his long-lost father, Po travels to a secret paradise for pandas, where he meets many cheerful relatives. However, the villain Kai soon begins a purge, destroying kung fu masters throughout China. Po must do the impossible: teach martial arts to a village full of his cheerful, clumsy brothers and sisters, thereby turning them into a kung fu panda squad.

When drought, dust storms, and plant die-offs lead humanity into a food crisis, a team of explorers and scientists are sent through a wormhole (which supposedly connects regions of space-time across a great distance) on a journey to surpass previous limitations to human space travel and find a planet with suitable conditions for humanity.

The wizard Merlin gives Lord Uther Pendragon the magical sword Excalibur, which allows him to become king. At a banquet celebrating the alliance between Uther and the Duke of Cornwall, Uther falls in love with Igraine, the duke's wife. The next day, Uther unsuccessfully besieges the castle and asks Merlin for help in using magic to spend at least one night with Igraine. The wizard decides to help, but asks for a high price: their child will belong to him. Igraine gives birth to a son, whom Merlin takes away. The duke's betrayal does not go unnoticed — no one trusts Uther, and he is attacked. Before his death, he thrusts Excalibur into a stone and proclaims that the sword can belong only to him. However, Merlin enchants the sword, promising that whoever pulls it from the stone will become king. The wizard decides to name the baby Arthur and predicts that he will become king.

Jerusalem, 26 AD. Two childhood friends, the Jew Ben-Hur and the Roman tribune Messala, meet again as adults after a long separation. Messala asks Ben-Hur to name the most ardent opponents of Roman rule, but Ben-Hur cannot betray his own people and refuses, which leads to conflict. Soon, Messala, taking advantage of the circumstances, decides to take revenge on his former friend and strengthen his power. On trumped-up charges, he throws Ben-Hur's mother and sister into prison and sends Ben-Hur himself to the galleys.
