The 1950s. Somewhere in Mexico, expatriate William Lee spends his days indulging in drunkenness and debauchery. One day, his attention is caught by a young American named Eugene Allerton.

France, 12th century. Belian, a young blacksmith, is forced to flee his homeland. He joins a group of crusaders led by his father. In one of the battles he is severely wounded and before his death he ordains his son a knight.

1879. The civil war has ended in the United States. Sheriff Earp gives up his job to start a new life with his family. Meanwhile, a silver deposit is found in Tombstone, and a silver rush begins in the town. Earp and his friend, Doc Holliday, are sent to Tombstone, along with a brutal gang of killers.

In the 1900s in Harbin, fighters for the freedom of Korea from Japanese occupation prepare an assassination attempt on a high-ranking collaborator.

1183. During the Christmas festivities, the aging King Henry II of England must name an heir. The event is attended by the king's wife Eleanor of Aquitaine, who spent ten years in prison for her part in a plot against the monarch, the king's mistress, the vain princess Alais, her brother, King Philip II Augustus of France, and Henry II's three sons, Richard the Lionheart, Geoffrey and John. All members of the family hate each other. They have only one thing in common - an exorbitant thirst for power and willingness to commit any treachery for its sake.

Chicago, 1968. Caught stealing a car with a fake FBI ID, criminal William O'Neil agrees to a deal with the feds. He infiltrates a branch of the radical Black Panthers organization and gains the trust of its leader Fred Hampton just as he begins to unite local ethnic organizations into the Rainbow Coalition.

The events, historically faithfully reproduced on the screen, take place in England of the XVI century, during the reign of King Henry VIII. The plot is based on the conflict between the king and Lord Chancellor Thomas More, a great humanist, statesman, prominent lawyer and philosopher.
