Geppetto, a poor old carpenter, cannot even afford to buy materials for his work, but one day he receives an unusual log as a gift. He carves an almost real boy out of a piece of wood and names him Pinocchio. The biggest dream of the new father is to send his son to school, so Geppetto sells his jacket and buys a primer. But instead of studying, the obnoxious boy runs away to the performance of a traveling circus of puppets, where performers very similar to himself. Thus begins Pinocchio's adventures in a big world full of magic, riddles and treacherous strangers.
