Trucker Lincoln Hawk is on his way to Las Vegas for the World Armwrestling Championship. He has a lot of worries: he has to meet and talk to his ex-wife, who is dying of a strange heart disease; after breaking the gate and dealing with the bodyguards, to check up on his beloved father-in-law and at any cost to bring back his son, who was abandoned 10 years ago.

Ex-military man Kyle Martin returns to his hometown and intends to start farming. But buying a farm on an installment plan turns out to be unprofitable, because all the money he earns goes to pay off the interest, and the bank, despite his services to the country, does not want to lower the rate. One day near his farm a local gangster Johnny gets into a car accident, and Kyle saves him by pulling him out of the burning car. In gratitude, Johnny gives the farmer 1500 dollars. The highlight of the opening is the preacher's son, to whom the twins once gave a guitar, and who plays the blues so well that he attracts the attention of an Irish vampire who happens to be nearby.
