On a peaceful morning from the classroom window, schoolchildren suddenly see a whole army of parachutists landing on the familiar soccer field. A military invasion of U.S. territory has begun! When foreign troops burst into their town, eight teenagers flee into the mountains.

Naming their squad after their high school soccer team, the Wolverines, they begin a true guerrilla war to protect their parents, their friends, and their country.

Ex-military man Reese lives in a zombie-infested Australian wasteland. He starts each day by organizing his small household - watering the vegetable garden, feeding the useful (used for energy) zombies, scaring away the useless ones, replacing the end-of-life ones with new ones - and then goes hunting. He captures the few survivors of the apocalypse and surrenders them to a military surgeon as material for experiments, and in return he receives pills, which he takes every day.
