“Risky Business” (1983) is a cult comedy film directed by Paul Brickman that tells the story of Joel Goodson (Tom Cruise), a model high school student from a well-off family. Joel's parents go on vacation, leaving their son home alone. At first glance, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Joel to enjoy his freedom, but his life suddenly takes an unexpected turn. In search of new experiences and having succumbed to the entreaties of his friends, Joel calls an escort agency and invites a prostitute named Lana (Rebecca De Mornay). This decision leads to a series of comical and dramatic events when Lana and her pimp begin to interfere in Joel's life. As a result, the guy finds himself drawn into the world of nightclubs and criminal intrigue. Together with Lana, Joel develops a risky plan to save his reputation and return to normal life. The movie stands out for its witty script, colorful characters and unforgettable scenes, including Tom Cruise's famous dance in his underwear to Bob Seeger's “Old Time Rock and Roll”.
