Twelve-year-old Antoine Duanel is a troubled teenager. His mother is busy with her personal life, and she has neither time nor desire to get involved in her son's problems. His stepfather is a weak-willed man who has no influence either on his wife or on his son. The teacher only punishes the boy. Antoine and his friend attend school less and less often and run away from home.
