A group of beach lifeguards work on the Pacific coast. They are always at their post and protect vacationers from accidents on the water. The main character, experienced lifeguard Mitch Buchannon, and his young colleague Matt Brody accidentally learn that their beach is endangered. The owner of the pathos nightclub, part-time local "drug lord", is trying to take the coast to his hands. The lady buys up all the real estate, not shying away from intimidating and murdering landowners.
