The child kidnapper, the hideous, evil dwarf hunchback Rumpelstiltskin has lain at the bottom of the sea, cursed by a good sorceress, from the 15th century to the present day. He, turned into a greenish stone, is bought in an antique store by the widow of a policeman killed by a bandit, who is left alone with her little son.
